Corren Agreement The Ministry of Education has signed a contract that gives two homosexual activists unprecedented and exclusive input into the development of public education policy and public school curriculum. It appears that the Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum will be revised to inculcate the notion that homosexual conduct and relationships are morally acceptable. The agreement also provides for the development of a Grade 12 'social justice' elective that is likely to equate opposition to homosexual conduct with racism.
The government and activists intend force children to attend classes and lessons even if parents or students find them objectionable or offensive. [Details]
BC College of Teachers continues suppression of freedom of expression The BC College of Teachers, the regulatory body governing the conduct of teachers in the province, is continuing a campaign to prevent teachers from publicly expressing opposition to homosexual conduct and lifestyles. Chris Kempling, a school counsellor from Quesnel, BC, is again facing charges of professional misconduct. [Details]
"Pro-choice" UBC Okanagan Student Union disallows clubs that choose life Contrary to the University’s Policy on Discrimination and Harassment, the Student Union at Okanagan campus, which apparently identifies itself as a “pro-choice” body, refuses to register a pro-life club. Registration is necessary for a club to function effectively at the university, since only recognized clubs can post fliers and advertise and hold meetings. [Details]
